Slow screen update when monitoring Win 11 machine from Mac laptop

I am using the latest Mac version of Teamviewer on my MacBook Pro. I am using Teamviewer to help a friend with a remote Windows machine. In the past when my friend was using Windows 10 the Teamviewer session worked fine. My friend updated to Windows 11 and to the latest Teamviewer version. However, now my Teamviewer sessions are horribly slow. The screen updates on my MacBook are VERY laggy, making Teamviewer unusable.

Does anyone have experience or knowledge about what might have happened on my friend's machine that might be causing this problem? I have looked online for a solution but haven't found anything that helps.
