Restart

When restarting my PC, Teamviewer shows as a full screen. How can I restart PC and Teamviewer starts as a minimum screen, i.e. in the background, unlike now it is a full screen!

That didn't work. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and instead of default installation, I chose unattended access, that work!

    Hello @J48BLE,

Good to see you posting again! ✨

I might have the solution for you:

    1) Go to the General settings (as on your screenshot) and untick Start TeamViewer with Windows

    2) Go to the Advanced settings and tick Close to tray menu

    3) Go back to the General settings and tick Start TeamViewer with Windows again.

With this, TeamViewer should start automatically and close to the tray menu.

Let me know if this has worked for you.

Close to my tray is greyed out. Can't select it?

This is because Start TeamViewer with Windows is active.

As I mentioned, you need first to untick this setting, then you will be able to select the Close to tray menu option.

  • I switched off Start with windows, then close to tray menu, then it doesn't grey out. Restated my PC and it doesn't work. Selected start with windows, then starts but in full screen mode. I'm just going in circles!

Thanks for the update. That's odd - I've tested it on my device, and it worked as expected.

What you could also try is to:

    1) Right-click on the TeamViewer desktop icon and select Properties

    2) Access the Shortcut tab and select Minimized in the Run option.

Let me know if this has worked for you!

    Hi @J48BLE,

After doing some research, I found a potential solution in the Microsoft support Community: How to disable apps and files from automatically opening in full

The solution the users shared is to:

    1) Access the Settings of your computer

    2) Select System

    3) Go to the Tablet tab

    • In When I sign in, select Never use tablet mode
    • In When I use this device as a tablet, select Don't switch to tablet mode

    Looking forward to your reply.

    That's great news! 🥳

The good old full reinstallation trick... should have thought about it earlier! 😁

You're welcome - have a great weekend ahead!
