Possibly Hacked

You make it impossible to get ahold of you which is infuriating in situations such as the following:

At aprox. 2:00 AM on Friday morning a man who said his name was Mark Snider, saying his employee tech. # is 36863 from phone number (205) 541-0170 called claiming he was from tech support and he was calling to update our teamviewer program. He directed me on how to open the file and give him the ID and password. He said the update would take about a half hour. As a night auditor I know it is common for tech support to call during night audit to run updates while we're not busy so it didn't seem unusual to me right away. Well, being that we were almost scammed last week, I got a sick feeling in my stomach and looked at the screens about 20 minutes into his "upgrade" I could see that he was in our email and anything with "credit card" typed in any email was being highlighted and searched. I could see the mouse moving around and opening these emails. As quickly as I could I shut down the teamviewer program. I went to our Windows Security program and did a full scan of all files. At the end of the scan it did not mention anything compromised, but being that teamviewer is a shared program from any computer, I'm not surprised that nothing came up. We need help with this situation immediately. The quicker we can find anything or anyone the quicker people can be contacted to let them know their credit cards numbers, passwords, etc. need to be reported to the proper people they do business with and they can change their passwords. Hopefully I am wrong, but in this digital world it seems easier and easier for cybercrime to get more and more clever and powerful. This puts my job at risk. I am one of the night auditors at this hotel. Please reply ASAP. If any criminal information is found I would like to know because I would like to file a police report and I'm sure the guests would like to do the same.

Sincerely

🤬 Making us jump thru' hoops to get ahold of someone at your company is ludicrous, especially being a shared to any computer kind of program! You don't think emergencies can happen? You didn't plan this too well so I hope you can do better at responding to this problem! And to actually ask to pay for tech support? Capitalism at its worst!
