Any way to set easy access or personal password depending on which group a computer is in?

If a computer is not setup initially with Easy Access enabled, or with a "master" password to be able to remote control, is there a way to create a policy to enable Easy Access or set that Password for an unattended group, then remove easy access\personal password if it is moved to another group, that has a different policy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Connection reports for Device Groups were launched last week. (We renamed the Managed Groups to Device Groups)

Hope this will help you in the transition towards the new Device Groups and solve your problem!

The workflow you described is not feasible via the Management Console, as it's impossible to assign Easy Access or any password via policies.

However, I'm sure we can find a solution to what you want to achieve.

Could you explain to me a little more the bigger picture of what you are trying to do?

What I am trying to do is either turn on easy access or set a master password on any computer that we assign to a specific shared group. I have 2 groups, let's call them Unattended Remote and a main group we will call No Unattended. If one of our techs puts a computer, or list of computers in the Unattended Remote shared group, I was hoping that somehow we could enable Easy Access or set a master password automatically so the tech wouldn't have to go on to each pc as an admin, enable easy access, then disable it days later when they are done setting up the computer. I was hoping to enable easy access in the unattended group, remove the easy access\personal password when it is moved to the No Unattended group. I have not found a way so far, but was hoping that we could.

Thanks a lot for getting back with all those details.

It is indeed possible to manage Easy Access via the Management Console.

The best way is to assign device managers to your computer groups.

By adding managers, you can also define whether or not managers need Easy Access to these devices.

That was a great suggestion, I wish I could use it, but I cannot.

The groups I have are groups that I created from the master account and shared them. I did this so we would have the Connection Reports tab appear. This does not appear in the Managed Group

If there was a way to get the Connection reports to show on our Managed group, I would get rid of the shared "personally created" group. Any thoughts on how we can get these connection reports from the managed group, or some other URL to access the reports?

Indeed, the Connection reports are not yet available in Managed Groups.

I know for a fact that they will be available at some point, but I am unable to give you a time frame for now.
