Teamviewer Host personal password rejected

Hi Community

Installed TeamViewer Host on a server in China and set up a personal password. Tried connecting to this via TeamViewer but Authentication is rejected.

If I connect with the Teamviewer supplied password it connects okay. I've triple checked the password - written it on notepad and copied and pasted to ensure no problems in communication / finger problems but the problem still persists.

Any ideas would be welcomed.

    Hi Jean

Apologies for the late response - the password eventually started working. Our suspicions are that during the CCP Leaders meeting, stricter regulations were put in place on access (we saw that with VPN's being blocked) - those have now been relaxed.

Not sure how they managed to restrict the personal password versus the dynamic password if this was the case, but issue resolved itself nonetheless.

    Hi @Andrew_B,

Great to see you posting for the first time! 🚀

The best option would be to delete what you have set up as a password and set up a new personal password.

Let me know if this has worked for you.
