How to get Auto Updates working with MSI/Intune install?

The app was deployed via Intune using the MSI package. Auto updates are enabled, TeamViewer is set to start with Windows, and it does show up in Services.
The app is showing a notification that a new version is available and will prompt for admin creds to run it if you try to run the update.
According to TeamViewer documentation it should work on version 15.21+ which we are using.
Am I missing a step?

You need to wait until the auto-updates run on your devices.
In TeamViewer's Advanced options, you can set up "how often" the auto-update checks under Check for new version.
