Can't get TeamViewer to work at all

I'm new to this, so please bear with me.

I am attempting to use my Android phone to remote control my Android tablet. All I want to do is play a music app remotely.

I have downloaded the TeamViewer app on both devices.

I have tried repeatedly to connect them, in either direction. Each time, I enter the TeamViewer ID, hit the Remote button, and I get the message "can't connect to own TeamViewer ID".

I completely do not understand how this is supposed to work.

When connecting mobile devices like mobile phones and tablets, TeamViewer has a different setup for remote connections.

1) On the local side, TeamViewer Remote Control should be downloaded and installed for initiating the connections. I believe it is what you have done on the Android phone.

2) Then on the remote side which is your Android tablet, TeamViewer QuickSupport should be downloaded and installed for receiving the connections.

3) And now put your QuickSupport ID in the Remote Control app on your Android phone then you will be able to start the remote connections to the Andriod tablet. We also have a Knowledge article - Connections from mobile to mobile devices to help.

Can you kindly try the steps above and test if it works this time for you?
