How to make dual monitors active simultaneously

I have a remote Imac with monitor emulator and a local Mac mini with 2 monitors. I can display both remote monitors fine on each on my local machine but I must click to activate each window, left and right, before I can do work in each. So it's click first on left monitor- then do work, click first on right monitor- then do work. This is much clumsier than it sounds when you're quickly working left to right and you keep getting tripped up by the need to double click. Is there a setting or configuration I need to establish to make this seamless. - as if you were working on the remote machine itself? Thanks

You cannot have both remote displays displayed at the same time, unfortunately.
