Cannot connect to remote computer

Recently whenever I try to connect to my remote computer I get a message saying something like the attempt timed out with no response from the remote computer. I have been set up for easy access for some time. Both computers are running the latest version. Thoughts?

I am now having the same issue. It will connect to some remote computers at times and not others but never all of my devices at one time. It all was working until the last few weeks.

I can't connect 95% of the time. I uninstalled & reinstalled team viewer on both computers but the problem persists. I tried using teamviewer host on the remote computer but the problem persists. Interestingly, I can chat with the remote computer even though the remote control connections fails. What's up with that? At the moment I'm on the same network as the remote computer and I know it is connected to the router because it is my Plex server. Teamviewer says the remote computer did not connect to the router. ????
