Teamviewer upgrade loses old ID

So I was forced to upgrade Teamviewer because it no longer worked as an old version. So I installed the latest version over the top of the existing installation. Now none of my client computers can find it because it seems to have generated a random new ID.
Same computer; same hardware; same OS; but now it has a new ID. How to rectify this?
