Installing TeamViewer with msi and an Alias
It seems like when trying to install TV 15.38.63 either with the TeamViewer_Host.msi or the TeamViewer_Full.msi, alias parameter inside the ASSIGNMENTOPTION, when running:
msiexec.exe /i "{path to}\TeamViewer_Host.msi" /qn ASSIGNMENTOPTIONS="--alias test"
no longer works. The TV installation just picks up the hostname as it's Alias/Display Name. The only way to change it is to go to settings and manually change it.
Is this expected functionality on the new version? The link here: Deploy TeamViewer (Host or full client) - 9/9 - TeamViewer Support, seems to omit that setting and the only place that is mentioned, now it has a title of Legacy (Assignment options - 5/6 (Legacy) - TeamViewer Support).
Is there any way to change the alias through the command line so it can be automated/mass deployed? Hostnames are not often helpful enough to indicate a standalone computer, specially between different costumers/locations.

More information on this.
After changing the Display Dame in the TeamViewer Client under General->Options and then assigning the machine using this command
"C:\Program Files\TeamViewer\TeamViewer.exe" assignment --id YOUR_ASSIGNMENT_ID
The machine properly shows in the correct group under Device Groups in the management console, but the name display is still the hostname and not the name enter under Display Name
