In my message about having to reinstall TeamViewer after an automatic update, I should have mentioned that this is on Windows 11. Also, I thought I was starting a new post, not commenting on an existing one about macOS.
I see this message fairly often:
"Verification of your TeamViewer version has failed! TeamViewer will quit for security reasons. Please reinstall TeamViewer."
I use TeamViewer on three laptops in my home office. Each of them has had this problem more than once. I think the frequency is about once per month - perhaps with each version although this is the first time I've really thought about it.
Today one computer is successfully running version 15.40.8.0 (looking at the properties of TeamViewer.exe) and the one with this message has version 15.41.8.0.
I did not upgrade it myself. But I just found the setting for automatic updates. That is now off so I don't expect the problem to continue.
The only installer that I have is for version 39.8, so one machine is now out of step with the others. Given my very light use of TeamViewer, I don't expect that to be a problem.
Has anyone else had this sort of trouble?
