The current version is still the biggest pile of steaming so and so.
But, at least we can now get the ID and temporary password without the need to sign in to an account BUT.......
We as a company need to set a password of our own on to all the machines we support as often with fixing a machine we need to restart machines or gain access to machines that are not easily accessible or actually have a monitor attached to them.
The whole thing of having to get our clients to setup a free account is a major pain the the *bleep* and has now finalized our decision as a company to not renew our subscription in a month or so when it's up for renewal saving us several thousand pounds a year. (Hint: You have 1 month to sort this out, but we are not holding our breath)
But the issue one of our clients has is that they have come to use their own paid licence to sign in to a new machine's teamviewer so we can set our password and it won't let them, they have removed / deactivated several of their old machines in their collection and still it comes up with an error when trying to sign in, we have added the machine to their collection via the web portal, but again no joy on getting the windows app to sign in so we can get access to the options / settings of the windows app.
Now their new machine needs several restarts to update it and set it up to be ready for what they need it for and every time the machine restarts we have to ring them for the new temporary password, this is beyond a joke, you have both ourselves who have paid a lot of money to yourselves and also our client who have also pay for their licence and still we can not use the software for what it is meant to be used for, easy unattended remote access.
Tell whoever has made these insane changes to the way the software now works with demanding an account is needed to use the basic features of your product; They have no clue on what they are doing, they have no clue on the impact these changes have made and they have no clue on who and what your company base clientele are and requires. They have and will continue to reduce the revenue TeamViewer make from them.
