Why is "easy access" not working on our servers running Linux but works fine on Windows servers?

We have been using teamviewer "easy access" permissions successfully but when we install teamviewer on linux machines and try to connect using "remote control using password" teamviewer is never able to connect. We have set the linux machines up in exactly the same manner and are part of the same device group with the same permissions as the windows servers. Any ideas on how to fix?
