How to invite "others" to a remote session with session link

Hi all,

We are currently evaluating the automatisation of creating remote session link appointments for our customers.

So far, with the below documentation, we have managed to perform a PoC and are hoping to solve the last riddle.

How to invite people from outside our Team Viewer contacts, to the remote session started by the link?

Is there an option available? Or is the only alternative to remain using ID and password?

We often have calls including our partner network and their customer(s).

This requires multiple participants to join the Team Viewer session. For internal colleagues, we can easily add them via the “invite”, but what about people that we have not stored and configured as Team Viewer contact?

Any ideas / hints are appreciated.

Thank you.

This is what we need also! Have you found solution for this?

    Hi DW_Support and imadam,
Thanks for raising questions about this use case!

The article https://www.teamviewer.com/en/global/support/knowledge-base/teamviewer-remote/remote-control/provide-attended-remote-support/ explains how you can create a QuickSupport session code and a session link to share with your partners.

The QuickSupport is just an executable (no installation), and the QuickSupport only receives connections.
Therefore, TeamViewer QuickSupport is meant to connect to a partner. To start or join a remote session, the TeamViewer Full Client is required.

To join (or start) a session, the user must have a TeamViewer account, and be added to your contact list.
You can add the existing user by following the steps:

    1. Click the Contacts icon on the top right menu.
    2. Click +Add contacts.
    3. Type the email of the user you want to join the session.
    4. Click Send invite.

During the remote session, you can invite a user by clicking Communicate ➜ Invite more participants.

I hope this information can help with some clarification.
Let us know if we can help you any further. 🙋‍♀️
    Best, Carol
