Which product do I down load

I am brand new to TeamViewer. I don't which of the 4 products to download. I want to be able to remotely help my sister who is in a different state and I want to remotely access my home PC from my laptop when I'm traveling. Which product do I install on each computer, my sister's, my home PC, and my laptop? 2 are windows 10 and 1 is windows 11.

    Hello @Rodger16 ,

Welcome to our Community and thanks for your question!

Here is a small summary of what the main TeamViewer versions are designed for:

    • TeamViewer Remote also known as TeamViewer Full Client, allows the user to start and receive remote connections.
    • TeamViewer Host client only receives connections, and it's meant primarily for unattended access.
    • TeamViewer QuickSupport client only receives connections via attended access (a person always needs to be present to accept the connection.)

Therefore, my suggestion on how you can set up your devices is:

    • On your home PC and laptop, you can install TeamViewer Remote.
      • To set up unattended access between the devices: After the installation, open TeamViewer Remote, and on the Home tab, click Set up remote access and follow the steps on the screen.

💡Hint: We also encourage you to set up an Allowed list with your account, so your devices can accept only connections from the accounts you authorized.

    • On your sister's PC, if she will only receive support and never use TeamViewer to remote connect to anyone else, you could:
      • Install TeamViewer Host (if you need to access her device even when she is not available to accept the connection), or
      • Send her quick links from QuickSupport, so she won't have anything installed on her device, and she will always need to be present to accept the remote session.

I hope this can help clarify your concerns! 🍀

Please let us know how it goes and if you have any further questions.

  • For remote assistance to your sister's Windows 10 PC and accessing your home Windows 10 PC from your laptop (Windows 11), install TeamViewer on both computers. Use TeamViewer Remote Access for your home PC and TeamViewer QuickSupport on your sister's PC for assistance.

  • Thanks people. Great information and very helpful. Much appreciated!
