Display parameters not functioning... been using it for years
So I've been using teamviewer free version for a decade I think. I have a PC in the US running Teamviewer and it shows up on my account as online in my list of computers on my account. I have never had an issue connecting from anywhere in the world. I am on a trip to Europe and I can't connect. It just says "initializing display parameters". I have tried from my PC, from my droid, from a friends PC here. With VPN, without vpn. I've tried connecting to it via the web interface on the TV website and it connects (I think) but the screen is just blank. I tried changing the view from quality to auto to blah blah... I have to do that now and then. That started years and years ago. But that has no effect. The only change I made before I left my house is I updated my Asus router from one Asus to a newer one. I didn't think there was anything I needed to do in a router for TeamViewer. I've searched this forum and it appears there is not much activity by users or by TV Staff if they even have any that care. I can't open a ticket as Im on the free version. So I'm kind of at a loss. Will probably have to switch to a new program as this is something that isn't acceptable to be across the pond and in the dark. Any suggestions on how I can see my computer there? And no I have no monitor connected... I NEVER HAVE and have never had a problem.

Hi, I had the same problem, I was able to solve it like this:
- I connected to the remote machine with **Third Party Product**
- Then I disabled the display adapter in Device Manager on the remote machine
- Stopped the **Third Party Product** session
- Tried to connect with Teamviewer and it connected but at a maximum resolution of 800 x 600
- Enabled the display adapter and changed the resolution to 1920 x 1080 and everything worked again
So far the problem hasn't returned. I'm also using the free version with no mouse, keyboard or screen attached to the remote machine. Maybe this wil solve your problem.

Sorry to say that v15.50.5 didn't solve the problem for me. Still can't connect to the remote PC. This even happens when I'm talking to someone who is using the remote PC. They can see that I'm trying to connect, but I still am getting the "display parameters" message.

Thanks! This worked for me. In fact, it improved other issues I've had as well. I did have to make sure Teamviewer was updated on both sides. I haven't tried it with the droid app yet but it's working on my PC. Just a suggestion to put a "don't show in future" check box in the pop up that shows when connecting to a headless unit. I know I am, I don't need to see that everytime. Other than that. Thanks for the fix.
