Hi,
We subscribe to a limited number of channels. We often encounter "All channels in use" errors.
What is the easiest way to get a list of all users who are currently using a channel?
Thanks,
Zak
Hello @bcatoe,
Thank you for pinging me for the discussion.
I am sorry to hear about your frustration with the channel usage. If the ID search can't link to any user account or computer name, it tells us that most likely the ID has not been saved to your contact list.
For further discussion on the channel usage, we strongly recommend contacting Customer support | TeamViewer for direct assistance.
Best,

@Ying_Q Yes and no. I can do a right-click, about and get the list of current channel uses. BUT, it displays a Teamviewer ID rather than something more helpful like user or computer name. I can't copy/paste the ID (no idea why that is blocked) and search the ID…but nothing comes back under devices or contacts. How is this supposed to work?
I have the same question: When my team report the "All channels in use" error I want to check who is using it so I can prioritise channel use. Apparently, the old TV used to allow this in the "About TeamViewer" pop up under help…but not anymore.
Sorry, thats not a helpful answer.
The scenario is this:
1) One of my team members complains that they can’t connect to a PC due to a “All channels are in use” error.
2) My first thought is “I need a list of all team members that are currently using a channel, so I can make sure they havent left a session open inadvertently”.
How do I get a list of all users currently using a channel?
This should be an easy thing to do. Unless of course, TeamViewer wants to make it hard / impossible in order ro sell more channel licenses. If thats the case, please tell me, I don’t want to keep wasting time trying to figure this out.
Thanks.
Hi @Zoominoff,
It is great to have you here in the Community!
Regarding the channel usage for TeamViewer remote connections, there are 2 main sharings available in the Community.
👉 Please also check the channel total and your TeamViewer license type to perform the channel group action.
I hope that these two articles help you with channel usage and ease the confusion.
