Connections stuck on "Initializing display parameters"

For the last 2 weeks my TeamViewer connections from the app are stuck on "Initializing display parameters". I can connect through the web app but only from the Recent Connections tab. It shows me the times of connections from the app so even though they do not work, the remote clients indicate they have a connection.

Have rebooted, reset, reinstalled but the same problem.

What diagnostics can I use to identify the problem? For example, is there a port now blocked somewhere.
