Remote access

Not sure if its the best spot to ask but never used teamviewer my self.

Orderd a new pc not to long ago and picked the option to have them build up the pc and install windows.

Now on my desktop there is a teamviewer exe file renamed to the pc shops name.

Can't find any installed team viewer program in the pc drive(s) or see any teamviewer application running on task manager.

But since they had the pc physically in hand at some point, any thing they may have installed so they can still access my pc without me knowing?

Any way to check if a pc itself has been set up for unrestricted access or block it from happening?

    Hi @walter00,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

May I ask if the exe shortcut looks like something similar below:

If YES, it is the simplified version of TeamViewer called QuickSupport. Usually, we recommend that users run QuickSupport for instant incoming remote connections. It is a Run Only application and always asks for confirmation before the connection starts.

If you have security concerns with the exe shortcut on your PC, you may easily move it to the Trash.

If you are unsure about the exe or the shortcut looks different to the picture above, can you share a screenshot with us and we will help to look into it. Hope to hear from you!

    Best,
