i have 2 pivate computers i try to connect to using my [removed per Community Guidelines] account i logged in to on both machines but get disconnected due to some licensing issue, how come I'm getting this?

does it matter that my home computer is private 5g connected and when I'm at the municipal meeting place for group sessions and activities i use the city's internet?

what a bunch of clowns!! everyone had their ID "reset" and doesn't do **bleep** thing. chat just tells you to "buy the product, then" like a bunch of commies. *bleep* , plenty of competition with better products for free and actual support. good luck being bankrupt

Gets timeout after aprox 5 sec

I periodically help my senior mother with computer support. Recently she needed a new computer and I was accessing both computers to move her over. That is no longer a requirement but I believe it may have flagged it as "non-personal" use. I am connecting from my home computer, also new. Team Viewer no longer allows me to log-on for more than a minute. Do I need to uninstall on both computers or is there an easier way to go back to the way it was. This software is a life-saver - my mother is not able to easily communicate the problem. I really want to continue using it but I don't use it often enough to justify a business license. Help Please!

why do you keep telling me i am using it for commercial purposes? I have one personal computer and one or two cell phones, I am retired and do not work for anyone. stop cutting me off.

    Grazie per l'informazione

They don't care…They locked me out of mine too. They care so little, in fact, that they will delete this thread from the community without a response, as they did to me.

Good evening, I use the product for strictly personal use and I often connect with my own device with LUBUNTU: ACERCAMPEGGIO_Linux. It requires me to have a subscription, is it mandatory? Thank you for your attention

I keep getting this message above on my personal account when trying to connect from a personal laptop to a personal computer at home. After 30 seconds I get disconnected and have to wait a few minutes until I can connect again with the same results.

Have Teamviewer become utterly useless for non-commercial users due to licensing?

I have only 2/3 managed devices as per the free license.

I have been using TeamViewer on and off for many years. I am a free user, not a company or business. I have not used it in a while. I went to use it last night and when I did it kept disconnecting me within a minute or two after successfully connecting to my remote friend.

We both have the latest version of TV. She just installed hers for the first time ever. She never used TV before. She is a free user, too. She has a brand new up-to-date Windows computer.

I have a new Windows laptop so I installed the latest version of TV. It said it did not recognize my device and asked me to add it to trusted devices. So, I added my new laptop to my trusted devices on my private user account.

Each time I try to connect to my friend, it disconnected us, a window popped up saying my device was locked from reconnecting and that I had to wait a minute or two before retrying. When I retried a few minutes later it disconnected us again almost immediately and the same window popped up saying my device account was locked.

Please lift the restrictions on my free user account. I am not a commercial business. I use TeamViewer as a hobby helping my friends for personal use.

Thank you. I appreciate it very much.

The same thing is happening to me. I have been using TeamViewer on and off for many years. I am a free user, not a company or business. I have not used it in a while. I am a free user and have been using the service for a very long freely NOT commercially. But, lately or nowadays being booted out every 2 to 4 minutes use from teamviewer.

I use and used the service with many thanks to help my family members by installing or removing some unwanted software(s).

Therefore, please remove the time limitation you have put on my account.

With many thanks for your understanding and support.

    Dear TeamViewer Support,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to inform you that I have recently encountered a restriction on my TeamViewer usage due to suspected commercial use. However, I would like to clarify that I am a private, non-commercial user and use TeamViewer only for personal purposes, such as helping family members and accessing my own devices remotely.

I kindly request you to review my case and lift the commercial use limitation on my account.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Best regards,

    Son / Gygax

I used to be able to use my iOS teamviewer app to connect to my personal PC. Now it just times out the session and says "Unable to connect. A connection could not be established. Connection blocked. You reached the maximum session duration to this TeamViewer ID. Please try again later." Then it says to purchase a business license. How do I get around this since I am using it for personal, not business use. My app on iOS and PC are both up to date and using the latest version. I have windows 11 and iOS 18.4.

I have had this happen to me before (and again now), you have to contact support and ask them to unflag your account.

If you use there support bot and ask them to "TeamViewer keeps saying I'm using the app in a commercial setting when I'm not" it will send you a URL to Reclaim your free version.

I have TeamViewer installed on three devices: My In-Laws computer, my desktop PC, and my phone.

I use TeamViewer to log into my in-laws computer anywhere from a few times a week to once a month (depending on how often they mess things up).

Lately it's saying that I have a free license but I'm using it in a commercial setting and my time is limited to 5 minutes.

    How do I fix this?

I was helping a friend out who needed help with his computer (when I say "friend", I mean he's more like a brother) when TeamViewer shuts off the connection and requires payment for "commercial use". What in the world do I do now?

I have used Teamviewer free for many years for personal use, but now I get disconnected after 10 seconds. Is there something I need to do?

I connected to my friend's computer, but it disconnects after about 10 seconds. When I try to reconnect, I get an error message. I rarely use TeamViewer; I just installed it last night to support a few friends for the first time in months, and now I'm facing this issue.

I have several computers on my account and recently have been blocked with suspicious commercial use. One company computer that is hooked to the account is a Not-For-Profit organization where there are no paid employees. All volunteers. all other computers are either mine at the same location or family members (most elderly) whom I provide support for. I receive no compensation of any sort for the computer help I provide. I submitted a ticket on this, however, it has been over 72 hours and I have not received an email. I checked spam/junk, and even the mail servers website. I do not see any email as of yet. I am ok waiting longer if more time is needed, but I am just concerned the email did not make it through. Please advise,

I use TeamViewer at home (I'm retired) to access a computer running my astronomical telescope in my backyard. I am constantly being told I need a commercial licence. Teamviewer shuts down on me at critical times (focusing, getting ready to image, etc). A few years ago all I was required to do was send an email confirming all this and I was fine. Now that I have moved and am using different computers at my new home, the problem has resurfaced. I don't want to use Remote Access because it isn't working properly for me. Does anyone know how this is resolved these days?

teamviewer refuses to connect keeps saying I need to wait 3 minutes each time

    Thanks in advance.

How many times can you use teamviewer before you have to pay? I help 2 friends without getting paid for it, but I get kicked out and you demand that I pay for a license. I thought it was free.?

I use the free version to remotely help my elderly mother who lives in another country with her PC.

When creating a session, I am only allowed to access and assist her for about 30 seconds, before the session is closed.

    What is happening?

How do I rectify this please?

I use teamviewer to access a laptop where I work on records for our church. Teamview that I am using "TeamViewer in a commercial setting". This is for my personal use and don't know how to make changes so I can work without being "timed out".

    Any suggestions?

I've seen this question asked many times, and it used to be that I could talk to someone at TeamViewer to resolve this issue. I use TeamViewer to connect to my various in home systems when out of the house. I also do the same for my elderly parents, and have at times, assisted my wife and kids using TeamViewer.

Additionally, I've contacted TeamViewer several times because the product suddenly starts warning me about "possible commercial use" and then starts disconnecting me from my session.

Under the current support method I have only this group to turn to to help me solve this issue. How has this issue been resolved for those that have experienced it? Without the ability to successfully maintain a connection with TeamViewer—which I've used for years—I'll have to begin searching for a replacement. I'd rather not, but if there is no clear way to correct this issue, I'll be forced to make the change to another application.

dear sirs, I’m having issues with functionality of the software, for the suspected commercial use. I use TeamViewer only to connect from outside home to my desktops, just for fun. Or to help my parents doing simply operations on their laptops. Please tell me how to solve this problem thank you.

I have been a Teamviewer user for decades. Using the free version I help out a few friends and family members occasionally. It is not a business operation and being 90 years old in June this year I am fortunate to still help others. I tried to help my sister in the UK yesterday and my connection was blocked in a minute or less. Therefore unable to help her. This has happened a number of times and thankfully not happened for a few years. I understand systems and people change within the Teamviewer org. I am look ng for this blocking to be removed and appreciate this be done promptly and that I will be advised.

I have just discovered old messages that offer a link to reclaim License, unblock. Have completed process, hoping this will restore usage.
