TeamViewer 15.55.3 comes up blank on MacOS

I'm a novice user of TeamViewer. I've been using about once a month for a couple years. Today, when I went to use it, I was prompted to upgrade. I agreed and was upgraded to 15.55.3.
However, when the app starts, it comes up with a plain white screen (includes titlebar and menu) and I can't connect to a remote computer. The menu seems to mainly non-functional (but I can open/close the device dock window)
I don't know if it matters, but I only use TeamViewer on this machine to remote control another machine, never to allow someone to remote control me.
Anybody else having this problem?
