I have everything downloaded and I am able to view everything on my desktop, on my phone. However, I want to be able to view my desktop from my android phone. How do I switch it so that I can view and control my desktop from my android phone.

We got your point, however it is not possible to switch sides between mobile and desktop. To view your desktop screen on your Android device, you have to download TeamViewer Remote Control app in your Android device from here. Then:
Additionally, you can check out the video in this section If the end user has TeamViewer installed.
Now, you should be able to view your desktop screen on your Android device.
