I cannot remote update. Free account.
I use Teamviewer to help my former wife with her laptop. The instructions I get with Action for updates are outdated, and her side keeps dropping after a minute or so.
The old system was easy for us to understand and use. Now, it has so many new bells and whistles and gotchas that I don't know where to begin.
Could someone throw me a bone here?

Welcome to our Community and thanks for your first post!Based on the description provided, make sure that your local and remote devices are using the newest version of TeamViewer. You can update TeamViewer following the steps in the article:
Note that some operational systems are no longer supported by TeamViewer and the free version for personal use is only available on the newest version - a license is required to connect with older versions of TeamViewer.
