In TeamViewer Remote, we’ve made it easier to assign, organize, and manage devices across your organization. Whether you're supporting five or 5000 devices, the latest improvements give you more control and a clearer overview, all in one place.
Let’s walk through what’s new.
Assign devices to the company, not just individuals
You no longer need to assign devices to individual users. With the new interface, devices can now be directly assigned to your company.
This gives administrators full ownership and visibility, regardless of who initially set up the device. It's also easier to manage employee turnover—devices stay with the company, not the user.
Ideal for long-term support and centralized control

Organize devices in groups that work for you
You can now add devices to multiple groups, which allows you to customize your view based on teams, departments, locations, or any structure that fits your workflow.
For example:
- Group by country for region-specific IT teams
- Group by department (e.g., Sales, Finance, HR)
- Or group by type (e.g., Laptops, Servers, IoT)
There’s no one right way—just the way that works best for you.
Organize once, find devices faster every day
Share devices and groups with your team
You can now share individual devices or entire device groups not only with specific users, but also with user groups. This means you can set up access once for a group of people, and everyone in that group will automatically get the same permissions.
For example:
- Share the Sales devices group with the Sales support user group
- Give Field technicians full access to the Servers Customer XYZ group
- Allow IT Managers to oversee all critical devices without manually assigning each one
This new approach makes permission management much more scalable and less error-prone, especially in larger organizations.
Flexible access control for efficient collaboration
Use group-level permissions to save time
With the new Group Inheritance feature, you can choose to automatically apply group-level permissions to all devices within a group. That way, you don’t have to set access rights device by device—TeamViewer takes care of it for you.
Smart automation for scalable management
Start organizing your devices like a pro
With these updates, TeamViewer becomes your central command hub for secure, flexible, and efficient device management—especially at scale.
Whether you’re in IT, support, or operations, these improvements help you stay organized, save time, and maintain full control over your remote infrastructure.
