Hello,
Could it be possible to use multi user inlog (on a windows server)
We would like to use the server system by two different users at the same time, each with it's own desktop and own teamviewer session.
could this be possible?
Thank you for your reply.
I understand indeed the serverID en user ID.
Could we connect to the userID without the user logged in at the windows session? (now it seems the ID appears to be offline)
At the moment we only have the serverID active and if a second users will connect he will come to the screen of the first user. And has to disturb the first user before a second user session could be activated on the windows server, after they can connect each to the cliendID.
We want to make multiple connections with the same pc and use different desktops, without someone always be logged in.
like we make connections with our windows credentials (TeamViewer) and will go to the desktop of that user (windows session). And the second user will got to his desktop as well.
Hello @Wartburg,
Thank you for your reply!
Yes, as also mentions in our article, if you are using the Full Client module, you can click on the TeamViewer logo in your Task Bar and choose About TeamViewer, you will always be able to see both the User ID and the Server ID there:
If you are using the Host module, after connecting with your TeamViewer ID, please click on Show Server ID button as shown below:
Then, the Server ID will be shown like this:
The Server ID is always online as long as there is a TeamViewer service running, and TeamViewer on a server is only supported with the running service.
Hope these are helpful! Let us know if you need further assistance.
Wishing you a great day!
Best,
Elif
thanks, for your message,
I did try and find out that when the user is logged off the ID will disappear.
could it be possible to leave the ID active also when the user is logged out?
Welcome to TeamViewer Community!
Yes, that is totally possible!
To quote from our Knowledge Base article Use TeamViewer Remote on Windows Servers:
Using TeamViewer Remote on Windows servers will generate an individual TeamViewer ID for every user who connects to the server using Remote Desktop (RDP) by Microsoft as well as for the physical console. Therefore, parallel and individual work in each session is possible. You will get two different IDs: the Server ID and the User ID.
