It often happens that you make a second search. Now it is timeconsuming to remove the previous text making the short cut CTRL + K useless. If the text is preselected when clicking CTRL + K you can immediately start typing to search for different device and easy use arrows to go to the left or right and keep what was inside to change it a bit
