Can I connect from Windows to Mac to test a third-party VPN on a Mac?

Hello!

If I connect from a Windows PC to a Mac, will I be able to test a third-party VPN on a remote Mac? I'm not that technically savvy to fully understand the inner workings of TeamViewer. But I figured if I run a VPN on the Mac while connected remotely through a TeamViewer, wouldn't it disconnect every time I switch the servers while testing VPN? Or shouldn't be a problem?
