Licensing switch to Subscription based

I for one would like to voice my disappointment in TeamViewer for switching to a Subscription base licensing model. I for one hate that I am now paying the same amount to rent TeamViewer as I have paid to own a perpetual version. This licensing model is flawed in so many ways I can't begin to explain. I am a consultant and am constantly hearing it from my customer how they don't want subscription based licensing yet the software developers keep insisting their customer are happy with this type of licensing NOT! No one wants to rent something they can buy if the cost is the same price or a higher price. Now TeamViewer can increase the cost whenever they want and you are locked in to paying the increase no matter how high they go

The whole reason I switched to Teamviewer is because they offer a perpetual license. To this day it's saved me over $10,000 in comparison to what I would have paid "**Third Party Product**". I guess they don't care to motivate people to switch... especially not with the published pricing.

Currently using Teamviewer 14 with a fully owned lifetime license

Thanks for your post. 3 years are much better than a yearly subscription... but it isn't perpetual !
But I would try to get something too...

I just got a 3 year perpetual contract after complaining to them!
So you might try that too!

This Subscription model is a shame! We are all now forced to work with constantly updated programs. "Never change a winning team": obviously not the case for Teamviewer nor Microsoft! I'm consultant and since 1980 in this business, I never got so many calls from customers claiming about problems they never had in the past.
So please: let the users choose if they prefer a perpetual license to a monthly subscription!!!

This subscription service is a ripp-off.

I will stick with our Version 12 for as long as I can and then look for something different!

In our case, TV Corporate with 9 add-on channels (12 total) the switch to subscription means [A price has been removed by a moderator based on communityguides] increase in annual spend with lost perpertual license rights...

TV has many quirks we have asked them to solve many times and finally learned to live with, like the lack of local conference calling numbers in Canada and many other countries, come on! a DID in any part of the world does not cost more than $5 per month... seriously?, or a more useful channel utilization tool / report... how dificult can that be when a simple DB query can show you this vs showing you meaningless IDs and sending emials every morning trying to sell you more channels without any real proof you actually need them?

We kept paying for upgrades every year just to avoid going through the hassle of re-evaluating the solution and they could keep getting our money every year without issues, now they are just basically pushing us to look elsewere... I'm not saying TeamViewer is a bad solution but there are way too many similar solutions out there (some of them even free), not very smart to **bleep** on their customer base like that...
