Fedora27 - latest teamviewer rpm - can only connect to machine once logged in with the GUI

Hello,

We have a physically remote production machine with fedora27 installed.

We installed the latest teamviewer rpm package available. The problem is that we can only connect to machine once logged in with the GUI, which requires to be onsite...

We have also a ssh connection, so we tried to restart the team daemon with 'sudo systemctl restart teamviewerd.service' and we checked the logs to be sure there weren't an ID for the teamviewer GUI and another for the teamviewer daemon but just found 1 ID in the logs (This teamviewer GUI/ daemin double IDs happened on a previous site).

Is there a way to make sure that teamviewer daemon is started before the login screen?

Thanks in advance

Francois Allain

Currently, TeamViewer cannot connect to Wayland - I'll explain the details in a post next week.

Fedora 27 uses Wayland by default, on the login screen and for the desktop session. It sounds like you switched to an Xorg session already.

But still, to be able to connect to the login-screen, you would have to disable Wayland on the display manager (google says you could do that in /etc/gdm/custom.conf) or switch to a display manager that defaults to Xorg (maybe lightdm?).
