Hello,
we use a proxy.pac File. How can I set Teamviewer to use this file for proxy settings?
Thanks, Kwas

Hello @Leitner ,
Thank you for your post! 😃
As long as TeamViewer is set with automatically detect settings the proxy file should work just fine.
Options → General → On Proxy settings click Configure... → select Automatically detect settings (recommended) → OK → OK
Please note that if you are doing a Mass Deployment / Assignment Via Script, you need to specify the proxy in your assignment command. Please see articles:
I hope this information can help! 🍀😊
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for your reply @.Carol.fg.:
But after my tests I realized, that this setting work only with WPAD.
Im searching a way to deploy the Proxy Settings across PAC file (without WPAD).
Here is an example like Windows do it (sorry for the german screenshot. But Im using a german windows):

Hey @Leitner,
sadly PAC Files are still not supported by TeamViewer. The only options would be to use the system proxy or the one provided via IP:Port (+ Username + PW).
The current Problem behind that is, that the TeamViewer Client cannot read / import PAC Files. This has been forwarded to our developers before but we can't say when or if this feature will become available in the future.
We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Best regards,
Benjamin

Thanks a lot for the informations @TV_Benjamin.
Could you please specify "use the system proxy"?
Neither WinINET yet WinHTTP Proxy settings are assumed by teamviewer.
So after my tests there are these ways to set a proxy in TV:
- GUI: Manual Proxy Settings
- Set the Reg Keys
- WPAD
- Import *.tvopt file
- MSI Rollout
Did I miss something?
Best Regards

Hello @Leitner ,
thank you for your reply.
What I meant by system proxy is basically the point you were missing in your list.
- GUI: Manual Proxy Settings
- Set the Reg Keys
- WPAD
- Import *.tvopt file
- MSI Rollout
- Settings of common browsers
Best regards,
Benjamin

Hello @TV_Benjamin,
could you please give me more details?
When I set a Proxy in Windows like this:
Many Browsers (Edge, Chrome,...) adopt these settings. But not TV?!

Dear @Leitner ,
thanks for the swift reply.
Normally the TeamViewer Client should definitely get the proxy settings that are entered in the Internet Explorer (Internet explorer because it's default on all windows devices). If that's not the case I suspect, that there is some setting that causes problems.
Best course of action would be to raise a ticket so we can have a proper look.
Thanks in advance :)
Best,
Benjamin
