apt update: warnings, errors, "Skipping acquire of configured file"
Hi,
Just upgraded to TeamViewer 13 on Ubuntu 17.10
Now apt update complains:
W: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/i18n/Translation-en' as repository 'http://linux.teamviewer.com/deb preview InRelease' doesn't have the component 'main' (component misspelt in sources.list?)
W: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/i18n/Translation-en_US' as repository 'http://linux.teamviewer.com/deb preview InRelease' doesn't have the component 'main' (component misspelt in sources.list?)
W: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/dep11/Components-amd64.yml' as repository 'http://linux.teamviewer.com/deb preview InRelease' doesn't have the component 'main' (component misspelt in sources.list?)
W: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/dep11/icons-64x64.tar' as repository 'http://linux.teamviewer.com/deb preview InRelease' doesn't have the component 'main' (component misspelt in sources.list?)
Can someone look into this?
Thanks,
Colin

Thanks for your feedback!
Yes, we know about this. It's mostly a cosmetical issue, and we'll tackle it as time permits.
The repository works fine without these files present.Linux Developer2 -
well, if you stamp a teamviewer.list into /etc/apt/source.list.d/ without asking the $user and this is a no go on debian, than please do the packing of the deb the right way!
And why don't you have a bug/issue tracker where we can fill one (maybe i have overseen it)?
Here is the error massage on debian unstable full-upgraded, 64bit, teanviewer installed via
apt install ./teamviewer_amd64.deb
LANG=C apt update

We know about these warnings on recent DEB systems. Older systems don't request them.
The repository works fine without these files. We will fix this cosemtical issue as time permits.Linux Developer0 -
Please, fix it. This warnings really annoying

Looking forward to the fix. Although these warnings may be cosmetic, it takes time to review each one every time users run apt-get update. Thanks.

I'm not sure I follow this conversation so easily. But are you saying that this error, which I am also getting:

Because I was not receiving these errors for weeks of using it. But now it is coming up everytime I do apt-get update/upgrade.

I have just merged some some similar topics. As you hopefully have noticed, we have fixed the repository meta data a few weeks ago. Please let me know if you still experience any issues. If you apt update now, you should also have an update available: [Update: 13.0.9865] File Transfer & Chat
Hope you like it! :robothappy:Best regards,
