Launch TeamViewer app via .tvc file

We have an issue launching TeamViewer from a downloaded tvc file. In Android 7.0 and below this works fine but in 7.1 and above nothing happens. Looking at the logs in TV it shows a file not found error (this is using a file:: url scheme). Switching to a FileProvider solution and a content:: url doesn't resolve an activity for the intent.

Any suggestions?
