While travelling, I try to connect from my local PC to home PC so I can upload some files. I know I can use the file transfer feature and often I do. It seems to be quite reliable. Sometimes I get behind and need to run a synchronization program to see which files I need to upload and which I need to delete on the home PC. For that I need to have share access to the remote folder so I can create a mapped drive on my local PC. The VPN feature of Teamviewer is great for this, in principal. Now to the problem. I connect the VPN either from the Files and Extras, Start VPN button or from the Control Remote Computer, VPN radio selection, Connect button. The VPN - Teamviewer dialog comes up reliably. WHen I click Share files by Explorer button, sometimes after a second or two, I get the Explorer window and can see my shares on the remote PC and I can now click my mapped drive and run the sync program. But, many times, like about 80% of the time, when I click the Share files by Explorer button, I get a long delay. maybe 30 to 60 seconds and then an Explorer window pops up looking ay My Documents on my local PC. I cannot click on the mapped drive to see my files on the remote PC and I cannot run my sync program. I might face this problem many times in a row. Even stopping and starting the VPN or closing the remote connection and reopening it won't help. Then suddenly one time it will work again. It shouldn't be a firewall or other issue like that because it does work sometimes. What can the cause be and how to fix it? Thanks..
PS: Even when I am not able to access the sahred files, I can still see on the remote PC's Teamviewer window at the lower right side of the screen that it says the VPN connection has established.
