Java app closes when teamviewer disconnects

I am running TV version 13.1.98765CL on an iPad Air and there is no update pending.  I connect to one of my desktop computers that is using a java app. TeamViewer on the desktop is 13.1.3629 and says it is up-to-date. Everything works fine with the app.  Mouse, keyboard, sounds, etc.  However, when I close teamviewer the Java app on my desktop closes.  Only that app.  The desktop does not log out and all the other applications continue to run.

Occasionally when I connect to the desktop the Java app will close.

I have had no other problems with the application on the desktop.  Runs fine for days until I teamviewer in and then leave -- it quits.
