Disable automatic ticket switching

At present, if you create a new ticket or respond to an existing ticket, it automatically switches to the next ticket in line once the action is done. Is there an option to prevent that or is it planned to add one? In some cases you need to add a note to a ticket, but end up adding it to the wrong one as the ticket was switched automatically after creation/response.
