password/authentication rejected

Hello I’m currently on holiday and have accessed my home computer 2 or 3 times today. Now later in the day I can’t access and getting either a password isn’t right or more recently authentication rejected after typing in password? Does anyone know what the issue is? My computer is online and hasn’t reset. Thanks.
