HP laptop to ipad

When sharing Lyrics TextScroller (not ios compatible) software from a laptop to several ipads the scrolling music tempo is completely erratic. I use a foot pedal to speed up the scrolling, sometimes to full speed, to keep the words caught up to the musicians.
