Hi Santoro,
Thank you for your post.
You are right Network monitoring can discover your all network devices within specific IP range. For discovering devices our system is using few standard network protocols: which are ICMP(PING), DHCP, DNS and SNMP). If one of those is blocked in your network discovery will not be able to find devices.
Another settings is SNMP community string. Usually “Public” is a default string , sometimes admins changed that for security purposes. So if string was changed on network devices you need to enter the right string. Besides of string you can enter IP range which you want to scan. If IP range will not be chosen our system will detect Nods (devices from which you want to scan the network) IP address and in combination with subnet mask will define a range for scanning. One important thing: You can activate network monitoring only on Windows Machin with TV 14 only. You can scan end also discover Linux and MAC computers (those will be classified as other devices).
In case if you followed all instructions and still the problems exists please contact with our support and and share detailed logs of Monitoring for further investigation.
With Best Regards,
Levon
