"Your display name" option not working on TeamViewer 14.3.4730

Hi,

We're using TV 14.3.4730 on Windows 7 embedded. I just set up a new machine and gave it a name under the "Your display name" field in options. However this name does not seem to be used, even after rebooting. The name that comes up in the list of systems is the Windows hostname.

How do I get the display name feature to work?

This same issue occurs with our corporate license on multiple remote clients. In fact, the appropriate display name only shows on a few.

I'm encountering a similar problem that started perhaps a year ago with newly installed machines. The default name for example "DESKTOP-#####" (there the hash marks are alphanumeric and specific to the computer) is what appears even though a display name has been assigned, and the Windows computer HAS been renamed in "Device Name" of Windows 10. This used to be sufficient in the many years I've used TV.

Now though I have several machines in my list of computers that are "DESKTOP-#####" or "LAPTOP-#####" and it's really hard to remember which is which.
