There is error on updating remote from laptop as well as trying to update from the Windows 7 pc itself; can I just install 15 over the older version?
Or, can I reverse laptop to version 14?

If the update from within the software does not work, you can try to download and install TeamViewer in the new version directly from our homepage: https://www.teamviewer.com/download
You do not need to uninstall your TeamViewer 14 for this, but you need to make sure that the TeamViewer app is closed during the install.
The new version will overwrite the old version.
