TeamViewer and Google Play Services

I have been using TeamViewer on my tablet for a long time, but until recently I didn't know that it depends on Google Play Services. I don't really understand why the program needs this package, especially given the fact that TeamViewer continues to work as usual after canceling the warning ("Google Play Services are disabled or not available"). There's nothing special about installing it from Google Play Market with Services required, but when installing from Amazon Appstore don't expecting a warning anymore. Maybe it's possible to modify TeamViewer in some way so that it doesn't depend on what it doesn't particularly need?
