Hello,

Cleanup time. We have a bunch of computers that are assigned to former staff.  Is there a way to change the assignment without going though each computer one at a time? Note, we are using TV11, commercial license. No, we do not have any desire to upgrade to a newer version.

thank you.

    Hello @RealM

Thank you for your message. ?

Spring cleaning is important, I got you here. ?

To achieve a reassignment on a new account you first need to create a new Host module with the new account (from the account that needs to get the devices assigned to).

You can do this via the Management Console. For more detailed info: Customized Host module

Now the new module is created, you can deploy this command line to reassign your devices to the new account:

    TeamViewer.exe assign --api-token <APITOKEN> [--group-id <GROUP_ID> --grant-easy-access --reassign --proxy <YOUR_PROXY> --proxy-user <YOUR_PROXY_USER> --proxy-pw <PASSWORD>]

Note: This command line is only valid for the devices that already have TeamViewer installed. Also, this is only an example. You might not need all the assignment options that are shown in the brackets.

For the devices that have no TeamViewer module installed, please use the following procedure: Assignment with the Windows MSI installer

For general information about how to deploy TeamViewer, please visit this article here: Mass deployment improvements

I hope this could help. ?

If not, do not hesitate to ask your questions here. ✌

    Cheers,

    Jean

Is it possible to have device assigned to no account?

We use Teamviewer corporate as an IT remote access tool only, it would make more sense for Devices to simply be assigned to groups that the IT employees have access to, and not assigned to any particular user.
