Is cancellation immediate or at end of term?
I want to cancel my subscription when it expires in a month or two. Historically, there was some nonsense about requiring 28 day's prior notice and that it is done by opening a support ticket. I would not be surprised it that were still buried inthe small print on some obscure page But now I see that if I go to Edit Profile, there is a Delete account link.
Can I do that now and not have it take effect until the end of the subscription for which I have already paid (I think it runs another six weeks), or will it close my account immediately. Like everything cancelation-related, the official KB link here does not address 1) when the account is deleted or 2) whether this actually stops the subscription: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/How-to-delete-your-TeamViewer-account/ta-p/4491
For the record, I am canceling for this reason: TeamViewer provides no way to make annual payment manual; it is only by automated charge. I simply do not want this $600 per year charge to continue being charged to my family should I die. I instead want it to expire at the end of the term automatically unless I manually renew. Clearly, TeamViewer's corporate model, rather than focusing on being the best, most efficient, attractive product, has been to to make it difficult for anyone to leave, and I refuse to reward that kind of bad behavior on the part of any company by continued support.
It is not that I have found any particular problem with the service, but this approach to billing absolutely cheapens the service and the image of the company. I also run an information systems consulting business, and I would never dream of trying to trick any customer into forgetting to cancel like that until it is too late. I prefer to be the best there is so that my customers want me.
And I understand that this policy may have changed. But I have not heard so, and things remain unclear in the Delete Account area.

Hi @HartCraft ,
Thank you for your post.
Please note that deleting your TeamViewer account does not mean you cancel your subscription license.
Unfortunately, the Community is a public forum where users can get assistance from each other. If you have any contract/invoice/licensing issues, you need to raise a ticket or call us as Community moderators cannot offer 1-on-1 support here.
As it is written on your invoice, if you wish to terminate your subscription, please submit a ticket at least 28 days prior to the renewal date.
We thank you for your understanding in advance.
Kind regards,
