teamviewer and mobile

i am using teamviewer so i can work on my phones apps using my monitor screen and keyboard on the pc, but all i get now is a mirroring image of my screen. Is there something i must do to be able to control my phone device from my pc?

i just found out that my device, xiaomi redmi note 6 pro, provides only screen mirroring. is there a way to change that? maybe in developers tools.
