Secure connection, but won't show desktop on remote computer

Both TeamViewer and the remote desktop I'm connecting to have a secure connection, but when I go to connect on my Mac, it says "Connecting.." on the bottom, doesn't ask for my password, and goes back to saying, "Ready to connect (secure connection)". I've reinstalled TeamViewer and that didn't help. Other people have been able to access my same screen since this has been happening.

    I recommend you to restart both devices: the remote device and your local device...

    ...and try to connect again. It might fix the issue. ?
