Suspicious connection

Hi

Today i noticed something suspicious happend with teamviever , some strange connection.

I opened log i noticed indeed there was conection in that time , that was not by me.

After that i saw there was connection from "user" named "SUPPORTS".

I was connecting to this computer with laptop ( and lets say laptop is not so sucure).

Immediately a change passwords on laptop and computer.

Is this comeone from teamviewer support connecting to my computer for some reason,

or my computer is actully compromised now.

What to do in this situation?

Thanks

    Hello @ginodauri,

Thank you for your message and welcome to the TeamViewer Community! ?

If your device has been scammed, you need to report it. If data has been stolen from your device, you need to contact your local police office and report the attack.

You can also report the scam via our webpage here: https://content.teamviewer.com/en/report-a-scam/

I hope this could help. ?

    Best regards

    Hi Jean  ,

    Thanksfor reply.

But my question was , does this connection with "user name" "SUPPORTS" have any connection with teamviewer support team or something?

If not , i can probably assume that my computer was compromised , and can take futher actions etc.

Also what you can find out form log generated by this connection.

Can find out what actions were performed on computer etc.

    Thanks

    Hello @ginodauri,

There is no chance that it is the TeamViewer customer support.

I confirm that the TeamViewer customer support only connects to your computer if you have reached out to us via support ticket, or via telephone (e.g when you have an issue with your TeamViewer license).

    Best regards

Ok , thanks for clearing that out.

Just wanted to check if maybe something happen by mistake or something.

I'm assuming when someone connects from teamviewer team do not have name "SUPORRTS"?

Because i will need to revert my computer to image backup now,

Do log file tell what changes have been done during that connection?

    Thanks

    Hello @ginodauri

Unfortunately, the logs won't tell you that changes that have been done to the computer during the remote control connection.

    Best regards
