Slow Response and Lags, Windows 10
All questions posted have no reply regarding lag times or slow response times for Teamviewer (my current TV is 15.19.5). Remote PC is Windows 10 and controlling PC is Windows 10 Pro.
My issue starts after about 15 minutes of remote connection, shortly there after the connection begins to lag every 30 seconds or so it hangs. Meaning, switching between different apps or tabbing through excel and then it's fine for 30 more seconds, then rinse and repeat. It's very frustrating.
I have called my ISP and performed internet speed tests and everything is fine. So the issue must be Teamviewer related. Is there a setting to adjust in Teamviewer or on Windows 10 PC?
Thank you for reading

Hello @Faytex,
In order to improve the speed of your remote connection, you can change the settings beforehand in your TeamViewer options by navigating to Extras → Options → Remote Control → Optimize speed - also check Remove remote wallpaper.
You're also able to do that while in a session by navigating to the Session Toolbar on top → View → Optimize Speed. Additionally, you can hide the wallpaper.
In addition to all that, you can tweak your Windows settings by typing Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows in the search box on the taskbar. On the Visual Effects tab, select Adjust for best performance ⇒ Apply
Now restart your PC and see if that speeds up your PC.
Another reason for a slow PC can be low memory or ram.
Let me know if you need further help or if anything solved your issue.
Best,

Hi @Justin
Thank you for responding.
In terms of the Teamviewer settings you suggested, I applied those configuration settings ages ago.
In terms of Windows settings that you suggested, that will not be possible. Visually. The degradation of the text is horrible.
Windows pc's,
1. the remote pc is a 16gb / 1tb HDD
2. the controlling laptop, a brand new 16gb / 1tb SSD laptop. The other controlling laptop I use is also a 16gb / 500gb SSD. These pc's are hardy enough for the task.
Interestingly, I've been logging in remotely to work for a year and a half and never had a problem, I upgraded TV just over a month ago when this issue presented.
Thanks again
Faytex

I am experiencing the same issue. No problem with other remote apps (like Google or MS's remote desktop)
Host : Windows 11. Intel 9700k, 32 Gb Ram, GTX 1060.
When I was using windows client (2600x, 16 Gb Ram, GTX 1060) I cannot even use it anymore because it was so laggy.
Right after the connection is established everything is ok. But it starts to show up after a few mins. And it happens every 5 to 10 mins.
These days I am using my old and much slower mac book (pro13, 2012 mid). Fortunately it is much better to use than my windows pc but still annoying from time to time. I have no idea what's happening here.
I have never had any problems with other remote apps.

Hi, did you solve your issue? I have the same...
I think it might come from logs. I deactivated them in the advanced settings (both at host and client) and it seems to be better so far.

Let there be light!
Thank you!
I am so tired of protocol answers. Less and less we are seeing REAL answers.
