my install deatails:

I have installed it by downloading it from the website. Also pretty much all other commands result in a core dump. eg:
root@flying:~# teamviewer service restart

Launching TeamViewer ...
Launching TeamViewer GUI ...
Aborted (core dumped)

I have the same issue - can anyone post any solution or additional troubleshooting steps?

never got solved. I have even offered to give the core files or remote access to debug. after a few weeks of mailing the support, I have stopped using it.
