Cannot remove black screen

I recently began using the free version of TeamViewer.  After use yesterday, I cannot get the black screen off of the main computer.  If I log on from another computer, I can see the display and work remotely.  However, the monitor is still black and I cannot get it to display.  I updated to version 14 with no success.
